To properly seal a garage, we typically spray the exterior walls and the ceiling deck. Because garage walls are usually built with 2x4s, we apply open or closed-cell foam to fill the cavity before drywall goes up.
- Open Cell (Walls): Roughly $0.50 - $1.25 per board foot. Great for soundproofing the garage from the main house.
- Closed Cell (Ceiling/Roof Deck): Roughly $1.50 - $2.50 per board foot. Required if your garage roof deck is exposed and you want a total moisture and heat barrier.
